From Uk to Canada to UK - Spouse

Hi everyone,

I wonder if anyone can help me with this. Firstly, I'm a British citizen born in Glasgow. I have a job offer in Canada which I am planning on taking, so I will be going there on a work permit. Most likely I will be there for two years.

Now the question I have is, When I'm in Canada I will be getting married and my wife will be moving to Canada from Pakistan with me as she will be eligible to stay there with me.

However after 2 - 3 years, I will be looking to come back to the UK after my work in Canada with my wife.

Does anyone know what the process to make this happen ?

When you get married, your wife will have to apply for a visit visa to come to Canada to stay with you. If she wants to work, she can apply for an open work permit based on your work permit, at least as long as your job is a skilled job.

When you want to go back to the UK, I suppose you have to sponsor her for residency there but this is a Canada immigration website so I don't know if it is the best place to find out about how to sponsor a spouse to the UK.
