From Passport Request to Visa

Effective 1 December 2010, Filipino emigrants do not need to make prior reservation/appointment to attend the CFO Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) or Peer Counseling session in Manila.· However, reservations made on or before 30 November 2010 will still be honored.
The number of attendees per session shall be limited, so emigrants are advised to come to CFO at least one (1) hour before the start of the orientation session. For clarifications, please contact the CFO help desk at (02) 5631965 or (02) 5618321 loc 103-104.

Attendees are also advised about the new schedule of CFO orientation sessions:

For those waiting for their passports to be returned with the PR visa, which travel agency do you plan on purchasing your plane ticket from?

I inquired with St. Raphael Travel and Tours, USD 707 for Manila to Regina on February 3 inlcusive of surcharge and travel tax. Good deal right? Has anyboy been quoted with something lower?

I am new to this thread..i got passport request today ...does anyone here went personaly to LA counsulate..to subimit the passport ? can principle application submit the passport of spouse and depend childran or they should be present while submiting the passport ? Appreciate your responce !!

Hi,
I done my medical in mid sep and sent passports in mid oct. Its arround 3 months since I have sent passorts to Visa office New delhi but still waiting for approval.
Anyone with same timelines?

i just tracked the Fedex return envelope that we sent with our passports to LA consulate. LA sent it out yesterday evening and will be delivered to my husband in Canada today at 5pm.

It took them 8 business days to issue the PR visa and COPR.

how did you received your PPR, is it thru snail mail or via email? we received ours via email and appendix A and photo specification was received as attachment. There is also part on the letter about it. appendix A should contain/show your personal details for purposes of sending back your passport and other documents. it serves as the courier basis in delivering docs. to you.

I received my PPR via phone call. The girl told me that she sent an email but I haven't receive any. I checked my inbox and spam, none.

to lilay,

did the person who called you gave instructions on how you will submit your PP and what are the additional docs you need to include? like for us, they emphasized that we have to send it via courier not via dropbox and new pictures for each member of the family.
