Hey Guys,

A friend of mine wants to visit canada for the first time. She plans to spend 10 days here and sightseeing this fall (if possible). She is a lithuanian citizen and hence does not require a tourist visa to visit however she needed an eta for which she applied and got approved for the next 2 years.

My question is regards to the CBSA agents question. I believe she needs to prove strong ties to her home country for which she is getting a letter from her university stating the program she is registered to (vet school 3 year has 2 years left ). For her intention to leave she plans to have her return tickets to leave after 10 days printed. She will be crashing in my apartment and is bringing 1000$ to show she has enough funds for the 10 days.

Is there something else she should have or do you guys believe there might be a hassle getting past the CBSA authority?

She should be absolutely fine - especially with the return ticket.

Thank you so much! That is good news, she will be very happy. I have two short follow-up questions.
For the standard CBSA questions
1) Purpose of visit - Can mention just tourism ? Would that answer suffice?
2) For a person she knows in Canada - She will have my complete contact information. Would that answer suffice?

Should be fine w everything. However, she should not be lying about anything, as they can pick up on whether she's not telling the truth. Ex) If you guys are actually boyfriend/girlfriend, but she keeps mentioning you are just a friend, and they find out she's lying about it, they could question her intentions and may turn her away.
