Hi Friends

Just saw this disturbing news in one of the forums. I cannot authenticate the correctness of the below piece of information but thought I will share the same for the benefit of all

"Any concerns officers have regarding the accuracy of information
should be communicated to the applicant, whether these concerns are
raised as the result of site visits, telephone checks, or other means. Concerns be
communicated to the applicant in writing or at the interview".(CIC Website-Selection Criteria).

Please refrain from visting the CIC website frequently for checking the application status or call CIC for status.......I think it is worth a wait

Okay here goes....... There are some different opinions in the air

"site visits, telephone checks, or other means" - this refers to CIC background checks:

Therefore in the process of background checks if they find any discrepencies they will inform the applicant.

This does ease the pressure.......... ::)

It is not you checking theier website

but they checking your site (meanse your city or house)
telephone check means not you checking them

but they checking you.

these are back ground checks

Hi

Clarity at last

"Any concerns officers have regarding the accuracy of information
should be communicated to the applicant, whether these concerns are
raised as the result of site visits, telephone checks, or other means. Concerns be
communicated to the applicant in writing or at the interview".(CIC Website-Selection Criteria).

This statement refers to the process the visa officer follows when they get any information contra to the ones specified in the application during the background check..."Backgound check" could be a site visit or a telephone check or by other means

The above statement has got nothing to do with checking the status of an application either through the CIC website or making calls to CIC

Hope there is no confusion now
