french language effect the visa or not

I want to know that, if anyone knows french language and he /she has cleared the french exam, does this give plus point in favor of accepting visa.
I am asking that because I am going to start ielts as well as french classes

I don't think knowing french effects your chances of visa! It may make your stay in canada litlle easier, thats all!

French A1,A2 wont effect much for study permit.. may it concern sometimes for B1 for your language ability... (not sure) ;D

Language ability is most concerned and earn points when you apply PR from home country or in Cda... (A1 is enough that time) 8)

Thats gud.. am A1 german n french...

French will b gud if u plan Cda... it will have advantage of your resume n while searching job in Cda..
