Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
When I landed in Canada as a new PR. I did online consulting for 3 months before I got my first job here. I did not register a business. The earnings from those freelance online gigs were reported to CRA as part of my income for that tax year.

Questions:
1. Should I write Self-employed or unemployed for those 3 months on the citizehip application. (remember I wasn't registered as a business)
2. As it was freelancing, I just used to send them a money request used to get paid after the work was delivered. Can CIC ask for invoices? Some of those invoices that I do have actually mention my home country's address (didn't update the address on the freelance websites, in fact my profile there still mentions me as a freelancer from my home country, I don't use them).
3. Is it prudent to mention the name of the freelance market place on my citizenship application? If I do, it still says the name of my home country.
4. Am I over-thinking?

Many thanks in advance for your guidance.

1. Self-Employed would make more sense.
2. It is extremely unlikely for IRCC to ask proof of work (unless you receive a residency questionnaire).
3. It shouldn't matter. You were in Canada so for "Address" part for your freelancing work, you can provide your home address.
4. Kind of, yeah!
