I am doing freelance work for companies in the US and Europe while I am residing here in Canada, Québec. When completing the employment section in the application forms, do I state the address/city/country information of the company´s location or where I lived at the time I did the freelance work?
Thanks for your help!

are you the sponsor or the applicant?

If you're the sponsor, then just explain what you are doing, and get proofs of your work so there is no problem with you getting approved as a sponsor.
If you're the applicant, you need to be careful and include all relevant information to show that you are not working illegally in Canada. You say that you are "residing" in Canada - if you are here on a visitor visa, then make sure that you don't use the word "living in Canada", or "residing in Canada" - you are visiting until you get the PR and you are officially allowed to live in Canada.
Good luck,
Sweden

then just add an extra sheet of paper and explain your situation - where you are living, and what you do for a living, and the different locations of the company. If you have a work permit, it's not an issue, you just want to give them as much info as possible so you are not asked for questions later on in the process.
Good luck,
Sweden

Working long distance over the internet for foreign clients or employers generally isn't considered "work" in the sense of immigration laws. The important point is that you're not particularly in competition with Canadian workers. This will certainly be the case if you're merely continuing business that you already had before coming to Canada.

For more information on the definition of "work," see Section 5.1 of Manual FW1:

If the work permit is employer-specific, then you're not permitted to engage in other "work." However, see what I wrote about long-distance work for foreign clients.

I would just write the location where you live in Canada, and if your work permit is employer-specific, include a note saying what kind of work it is, so it's clear it doesn't fall within the prohibited kinds of work. Again, details on this can be found in Manual FW1.
