I currently work with Skills for Change, which is a funded non-profit organization serving Newcomers, Youth, Women, Seniors, Jobseekers and Employers. I am currently responsible for facilitating our Employment Services Workshops. We are currently planning a series of two-week comprehensive workshops geared to teach newcomers (in particular women) everything one would need to know regarding how to obtain successful employment in Canada. We discuss topics such as Canadian work culture, the importance of networking, how to format a resume and you can even participate in a mock interview at the end of the workshops. It is a free workshop based at our St.Clair West (791 St. Clair West, Toronto, Ontario M6C 1B7) location where we will also be providing tokens for participants who attend.
