FP request after Background Verification Completed?

Hi all,

Apologies if this has already been asked. Does IRCC still usually request fingerprints after Background Verification has been set to "Completed"? I heard that fingerprints are only valid for a certain amount of time, and I'm just curious if they still need to request new samples even after the background check has been completed.

Did they ask for fingerprints in your case? if yes, then probably they will send you another one when your security clearance validity expires after one year from the first one.

Never got asked for FP thankfully, but just thinking in advance. If they never requested FP before changing my BG verification status to complete, are they unlikely to do so in the future?

Good question. I am not sure. I haven't seen it happen before. I think it's more likely they won't ask you FPs for the second BG check if they didn't ask for the 1st one.
