Four Year Physical Presence Requirement

Hello Everyone,

Can anyone please advise whether the 4-year physical presence requirement applies to everyone? For instance, a person who came in 2013 as a landed immigrant and in his immigration paper it is mentioned that to be eligible for citizenship application, he needs to stay 1095 days (3 out of 4 years) physically in Canada.

Does the above mentioned change apply to that person as well? I checked cic website but couldnt find much about my query.

Will appreciate, if anyone can help.

It will apply to everyone who applies on the day it is implemented no matter when you landed or became PR.

4 year requirement is not in effect yet. They have no hard date when it will come into effect. It seems to be around June/July 2015. Call center is also not that confident on the dates.
