I am in the process of preparing an application for immigration to Canada under the Federal Skilled Workers Program. I currently reside in Cyprus and will be dealing with the Damascus Embassy.
My 2 queries are as follows:
Query1:
For Form IM0008 5406 Additional Family information the instructions state that the form has to be completed by the Principal Applicant and the Spouse and Children over 18. My question is how to complete Section A where is specied the Applicant and the Spouse:
- Am I the applicant on my form (as principal applicant) and my spouse the applicant on the 2nd form with me as her spouse?
Query2:
With respect to the instructions for the VISA Office Specific Instructions the instructions on Page A-1 clearly state that "Don't not send originals. Send Notarised photocopies of all documents except police certificates, which must be originals", however for the information listed on the checklist, the checklist states the following:
(a) Section 6. Page A-3 - original transcripts of all degrees must be submitted
(b) Section 7. Page A-3 - original and up-to-date letters of reference
Please can you clarify whether the originals for (a) and (b) above must be sent as requested on page A-3, or whether notarised copies must be submitted (as requested on page A-1)
