I am filling out form 0008 as a common law spouse (US citizen), I reside in Canada on a visitor's visa. After my work permit expired I applied online for a visitor visa and got it approved, but a few weeks later I had to visit the US for a few weeks, and then returned to Canada through the airport. I talked to the guy in customs and then was waived through, no stamp because I am a US citizen. On form 0008 I am filling out the country of residence section and it is asking me my status and when my status expires. Do I use the visa I applied for online, or did my visit "reset" and I use the date of entry and have the expiry be 6 months from my date of entry?
