Foreign work outside of country of origin

I have 3 years of work experience outside my country of origin. Do I need to attach proof that I was legally entitled to work there?

That proof is not on my passport as it was not a visa but rather a residency card. Also, I only have the last renewal of the card which does not cover the entire length of my experience. If proof of being entitled to work is not needed, I'd rather avoid the translation fees.

Technically nope. But the experience from Ontario is that they sometimes do ask such proof. If such thing is demanded, you will get additional documents request.
