Hey guys

Just a quick question about the CRS score calculator, I have worked the past two years on site in the United Kingdom, for a software company. Can this count towards NOC skilled work experience?

More specifically, In the CRS calculator, I see the question "In the last ten years, how many years of skilled work experience in Canada do you have?", would my UK based work experience count towards this? or is it only Canadian work experience? Because in the final score calculator if i include the two years, it says

Foreign work experience

A) Official Language proficiency and foreign work experience = 25
B) Canadian and foreign work experience B) = 50

If i can provide legal documents and payslips from my UK employer proving my work experience, will it count towards that part of CRS? I ask because including it puts my score at 528, and without it, it becomes 411 so it'd be apt for me to use it if valid..

Thanks

More specifically, In the CRS calculator, I see the question "In the last ten years, how many years of skilled work experience in Canada do you have?", would my UK based work experience count towards this? No, these are 2 different countries or is it only Canadian work experience? Because in the final score calculator if i include the two years, it says

Foreign work experience

A) Official Language proficiency and foreign work experience = 25
B) Canadian and foreign work experience B) = 50

If you have never worked in Canada, you can't claim to have Canadian work experience. Your UK employment letter, employment reference letter and payslips are acceptable towards your foreign work expereince

Thanks

Hi, see above.

Thanks for the reply :) when you say my experience is acceptable towards foreign work expereince, is that only for 6) ii and not 6) i ? My UK work experience is classified under 6) ii. right?

From the CRS
6) Work Experience

i. In the last ten years, how many years of skilled work experience in Canada do you have?
It must have been paid and full-time (or an equal amount in part-time).

Note: In Canada, the National Occupational Classification (NOC) is the official list of all the jobs in the Canadian labour market. It describes each job according to skill type, group and level.

"Skilled work" in the NOC is:

managerial jobs (NOC Skill Level 0),
professional jobs (NOC Skill Type A), or
technical jobs and skilled trades/manual work (NOC Skill Type B).
If you are not sure of the NOC level for this job, you can find your NOC on this site.

ii. In the last 10 years, how many years of skilled work experience do you have?
It must have been paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation (NOC skill type 0, A or B).
