Hi all,

I am currently in Canada on my Post Graduate Work Permit. I have 14 months of Canadian Experience and have created an express entry profile as well.
Before coming to Canada I was working for 5 months back in India in a B level job.
I still have 1.4 years left on my work permit. If I work in Canada for another one year I’ll only get 13 points. Where as if I go to India now and work for another 7 months I can complete the one year of Foreign Experience.
Can this be used as foreign work experience

If you earned a degree/diploma in Canada, a 2nd year of Canadian experience will give you additional points for your education.

Whether or not a few extra points for that year of foreign work experience is worth it, depends a lot on the score you currently have.

Since you only get a PGWP once in a lifetime, I would recommend staying in Canada, getting the 2nd year of experience, and trying to get a valid job offer while here. After that, you can get the foreign work experience if you still need it.
