I came to Canada as an international student in 2019. When the pandemic lockdown hit in March 2020, I returned to my home country where I remained until August 2021. During this time, I retained my full-time status as a student and was taking a full course load remotely. Since most of my lectures and exams were delivered asynchronously, I was also able to find full time work in a field related to what I was studying and was employed in my home country from June 2020 to July 2021.
I'm aware that any experience I gained in Canada while on a student permit is not counted towards my Express Entry profile. I was wondering if this also applies to foreign experience? The role itself satisfies the conditions for foreign experience (TEER 1) and the NOC code matches my current occupation in Canada (PGWP) - it's just that I was also a student at the time.
