Foreign Temporary Worker with PGWP - Late TRV extension application

Hi guys, i need your help...

I have 3 years Post Grad Work Permit which expires on 30/08/2018. My TRV has been expired since last year 15/08/2015, now i want to apply for visa extension as i want to visit my home country and while coming back i would need visa to enter canada.


Would i be faced with any problem since i am applying for visa extension almost one year late?

Should i include letter of explanation in my application?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

There is no such thing as a "visa extension". What you want is a new TRV that will allow yourself to travel and re-enter the country.

You should apply for a new TRV normally, no explanations are needed in your case.
