Hello friends, I was an international student in Ottawa from 2002 to 2006 (Student Visa), unfortunately in 2007 I was convicted for assault and incarcerated until 2009 when I was sent home and escorted by 2 people (They never gave me any piece of paper whatsoever, don't even know if it was deportation or any other type). Back home I lived my life normally until 2019 when I started the process of Record suspension that was granted to me in 2021 by the Parole Board of Canada. In 2022 along with my wife (got married in 2020), we applied for FSW Express Entry with a score of 504, so We got ITA, we uploaded all the docs, police clearance from back home + I showed them my Pardon (record suspension), and I explained to them what happened in the security questions section. Everything went smoothly without any problem. We got PPR, then deposited our passports then got our visas + COPR. (we re gonna be landing in Canada in September 2023)
Now I'm confused, reading through forums, I was supposed to get an ARC request (letter + 400$ fees) during the process of our EE application but we didn't and it clearly says on Canada.ca website that we must not submit a separate application for the ARC and that it was supposed to be dealt with in the context of our EE app. I am afraid that I will be sent back home once we land in Canada. If anyone can enlighten us about this, it would be appreciated. Thank you so much
