For those who took the OATH

I just received a notice to appear - to take the oath of citizenship. I am required to bring "All your original documents that support your citizenship application - Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5292) and Permanent Resident Card. (If you have a landing document and a Permanent Resident Card, you must bring both of them."

Does it mean I need to bring my school records, diploma ,eilts etc etc or just the original landing form?

last week my wife took her oath .i was with her.they asked only for the passport,permanent resident card and the IMM5292 paper. that's all. the ceremony was at fusilier montroyal in montreal. if you come late after the judge enter you will not be able to access the ceremonie and you will be considered as absent,

when you will be asked to pronounce the sermon of citizenship please pronounce loudely because there is many agents scruiting who dont pronounce and those who dont pronounce loudly will not have their citizenship certificate

I brought all that stuff and the only thing they actually checked was the oath letter and my PR card (which they took).

I don't know why they ask people to bring all the other stuff. It think you may need it in case from the time they give you the oath letter to your oath date there may be a small chance they find some issue about you application and want you to have all your documentation just in case they want to confirm some things.

I posted the same question prior to my oath of last week. All the experiences, including mine, did not need any of those papers. Only the landing paper, PR card, passports and IDs. In my case, I was asked for just the PR and the landing paper.

However, I did bring almost all the originals just in case! I would still bring the originals!

By the way, most of the CIC letters and applications need to be reedited to reflect what they really want!

Everyone got their certificate. I think it may depend on the office. My office (Mississauga) is known to be very easy going.

There are officers who are watching the people to make sure that they say the oath. And at the beginning of the ceremony, we were told by the MC that not repeating the oath will stop you from being a citizen.

However, I do not think that 'loud" thing applies
