For those who paid the old fees and application was delivered on or after 6 Feb.

Hello,
I called CIC agent and the best approach to handle this situation is to pay the difference to cover the fees balance, Resubmit new application with the old & new receipts. The old application package will be returned in all cases.

Wow - that sucks.

I hope the agent is wrong. I guess time will tell. I think it would be far more appropriate / fair for CIC to continue processing the application and to request the additional payment be submitted.

Wished the same but I placed two phone calls and both agents confirmed that the application will be returned. Also another guy from this forum called and it was the same answer. Don't wait until the new citizenship law is put into action.

That sucks indeed. Now we are supposed to WAIT until it is returned and then send again. God knows when that will be. WOW. Also, there is NO information anywhere about what to do in the case. (Not that I am doubting your information my friend) but I mean, I hope that AT LEAST in the returned application there is some kind of letter or something telling us what to do. I thought they would refund and they we would send the new payment with 400 $$ but what you said sounds good too, but how do we know that's the official way to do it? You know what I mean? it is all so grey. We are on same boat. Waiting I guess. Lets keep this topic and update each other shall we? PS..please give me the number to call? you don't have to wait for the application to return, you can send the new application now.
My question, I have forgotton the password and security questions for my cic account used to pay fee,,,,, now can I pay the remaining 200$ using a new e-mail account and attach both the receipts and send them with the same application
