Well, Seattle people, I haven't posted on any of your threads since they all depressed me with their lack of action, but my file changed to In Process today. These are my rough timelines:

Applied to Sydney in late July
Got preliminary approval in mid September
Sent my documents to Buffalo in early January
Got an AOR from Buffalo in early March
Was transferred to Seattle in late April
Changed to IN PROCESS today (June 2nd)



And man, am I happy. It's not waiting that drives you nuts, it's waiting and wondering whether your file is in the black box marked Open Next Year. Just give me incremental change . . .

That is really great, now expect to get the medical request within one week, and once you are done medicals, expect the passport request within a month because the local visa offices are faster than Buffalo in the USA.
