For the In-Canada PR application: State Police Clearance

I did FBI fingerprints for my wife, which has come back with nothing.
Do the state police certificates really help??
If you lived in the US before applying for In Canada PR you may need State Police Certificates for every state in the US that you have lived.

You only need to send in the FBI police certificate. CIC may request state certificates later, but I don't think that happens often. It didn't for me.

I sent a state clearance for the state I was residing in just before coming to Canada. I have no idea if they would've asked for it or not, but I did send it.
