The Canadian Embassy Manila called and told me that the medical exam of my children are already expired, so they need to have a retake. The officer told me that they will send me a letter requesting for a medical retake which i will bring to the doctor upon their medical exam retake. How many days usually does it take for the request letter to get delivered? Because until now i haven't received any letter, and its been 2 weeks already of waiting. Also, she told me that my 2 years and 7 month old son cannot travel with me, because he needs legal travel documents since he is not included in the sponsorship because he is a Canadian(born in Philippines), since his father is a Canadian. My husband had already applied for his citizenship in Canada but is now pending because he needs to get a DNA test and my husband wanted the test done in Canada, since our visa application is already in process. Upon the approval of his sponsorship the Canadian Immigration told him that our son is not included in his sponsorship and instead told him to get a special visa for him called Facilitation Visa since he doesn't have a Canadian passport. When i read at the website it says that facilitation visa is granted only up to 2 years old. I already tried inquiring in Cebu Consular Office but all the officer told me was there's no shortcut and we really need to go through the process of having a DNA test or cancel the application in Canada and apply his registration from here(Philippines) which means we will get delayed for 8 months plus the additional months to get his Canadian passport which could also endanger the expiration of our visa (me and 2 not Canadian children) once released this month. I need your help, please advise me...
