Hello.
I have started this topic to discuss numerous situations of live-in caregivers who were laid off at the final days of the Live-In Caregiver Program.
I myself was laid off just a few days before the end of the program and still managed to apply for Permanent Residence (under Option 1 - 24 months, as was not sure how the hours and what days are taken into account when applying under Option 2).
I felt worried oftentimes but I gathered all the necessary documents and applied in time, as I thought. Now that the government/CIC received the papers I still wonder at what time should a live-in caregiver apply for Permanent Residence, during what period of time allowed by the Live-In Caregiver program..
Would be nice to share some experiences here, if you can and have desire to.
