I was actually surprised, the last time I checked for a friend, that India requires a visa for Canadian citizens - but not for US citizens, for whom an e-visa was available - , (I checked the last time before the change here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visa_policy_of_India

I am really happy with this news for my friends of Indian origin, and also as a Canadian: I am proud of this news which will improve the index passport rank of our Canadian passport with a country more accessible in e -Visa.
