Hey guys,

I'm starting this thread to make a community of "Money-saving new immigrants". After immigration, I realized that life isn't as easy here as it seemed back home. You have to work day in and day out to make a living. But what I found out is that you can save a great deal of money if you are smart and know how to save money. So, I urge all of my immigrant friends and other friends coming to Canada to keep this thread alive by sharing and money-saving ideas and daily deals they come across. Smart shopping and a bit of effort on our end can save us extra bucks to enjoy family-time over the weekend ;)

For most of those "deals" u'd be either shopping in all wrong outlets, or purchasing unnecessaries, or buying subpar products.

Besides, if u seriously observe half of those tips - u'd be spending ur time in Canada miserably... Have a heart instead... live well... buy@Walmart* usually... visit Honest Ed's once in a while [if u r in Toronto]... and u'd survive!

*Avoid Sears, Zellers, Shopper's Drug Mart/s, The Bay & the likes. -for newcomers

I know from experience that a Chocolate orange is not a subpar product :)

But, yes, people need to be aware what they are buying.
