Hi guys, from the UK.

Anyone know if it's true that our CORP comes via email now via CIC and we just print it and take it to the board etc? We don't need to wait for it to be posted to us?

I live in Canada and this would easily shave two to three weeks waiting time off for me!

I heard one person have this happen but I was wondering if there were more to back it up?

Thanks

No, that doesn't happen. (It never happens. The one person who's indicated it did has either misunderstood what they've got, or misdescribed it).

You get an email, and a PDF email to your myCIC account explaining that your application has been approved, this is what you need to do to get the final paper, etc. (This is what that person will be referring to). You then have to physically mail off more photos and a new 'Appendix A' (not the 'schedule A' that's part of the application - this is just asking for the applicant's basic biographical detail like height, eye colour, etc). Some people can upload the appendix A to myCIC, but often the upload section isn't enabled, so it's easier to just mail it with the passport photos, which have to be mailed anyway.

A couple of weeks later, they mail back a paper COPR, with those passport photos stuck onto them. If/when they upgrade them to something more high tech, then an e-copy would be viable. But the photos you supply are physically glued onto the paper you're sent - so you can guarantee that doesn't happen virtually, because it - well, couldn't be done.

I believe that is not the case for visa except people such as the U.K though. We don't get a PPR
Not correct. We get one just like everyone else. That's the letter asking for photos, and your height/weight/eye colour etc.

Even if you somehow didn't get one of those, you'd still need to be issued the paper COPR which has photos glued to it (presumably in that case, it would be after a very quick app, if the photos you send initially were deemed new enough to be used, and your COPR was being issued by the same office that had the original app).

My husband is American. The United States is a visa-exempt country. We got his PPR last week. He had to send in a photocopy of the pic/bio page of his passport, two new passport photos, the annex included in the PPR email in which he had to write the address for the CoPR to be sent to, and an express post envelope for the VO to mail the CoPR to us.

How long took your PPR to receive after decision made
It was ten days for us. Some folks get it much quicker, around five days or so.
