Floods in Toronto

Woke up this morning and saw in our news channel that Toronto had floods yesterday! Wow. It looked bad. Anyone seen this?

Woke up this morning and saw in our news channel that Toronto had floods yesterday! Wow. It looked bad. Anyone seen this?

I was stuck in the subways for a couple of hours ... very unfortunate to say the least ???

It took a good 4 hours to travel from downtown Toronto to South Etobicoke ... And electricity outage for almost 12 hours.

But thank God, things have settled down since early this morning. It wasn't as horrible as I imagine it could have been.

Nobody died - that's a start! Only thing now is that due to the flooding some subway stations are closed temporarily along with several GO train lines.

Thankfully it didn't reach over to Hamilton. It's wet outside, but no sign of floods... unless it did it while I was sleeping.

Friends of mine had the water literally break into the lower levels of their homes and sweep their belongings out...
My cousin was without power for 13 hours

My parents live in downtown Toronto. They were fine, but their neighbour's basement flooded about three inches deep. Some of the pictures I've seen on the web look horrible. I grew up there and never saw it flood before. It's scary the way the environment is changing. We are basically at its mercy. Thankfully no one was killed (as far as I know)
