Hi experts here

Can some one help me out please? I booked flight ticket for my sister to visit me through Air Canada in June. She is coming with visitor visa. I got booking confirmation email from AC with correct spelled name exactly like in her passport. But when I look at air Canada website and check out her e ticket i found out her first name is spelled all together without any space. She has first name with three words and last name with one word in her passport. I filled out exactly the same. Example her first name is LILY LON NOEL and her last name is PEACE. she has no middle name. But in E- ticket her first name is joint without space as LILYLONNOEL. Her last name is correct as PEACE. Will it be a problem while check in at the airport? Will New Delhi Airport gate security allow her to get inside airport cuz her passport has first name with space and her e ticket has first name without space/. Thank you for your help.

Others can comment but doubt is a problem as you will probably find the system cannot cater for blanks but only way to find out is to call Air Canada as opposed to rely on forum input.

Similar confusion happens with middle names that people include in booking as that is what is in their passport but when ticket/board pass is issued the middle name disappears.

I flew on Air Canada and the same thing happened to me. There was no problem with boarding or identity verification.

I don't know about New Delhi airport security though, since I've only flown within North America on Air Canada so far.

The airport staff at the security gate spend less than 30 seconds to look at the documents. What matters to them is having a valid ticket + passport before allowing the passenger to enter the airport terminal.

At the Air Canada check-in desk, your sister will not have any problems as her details will show up on their system + it would match her passport

Hi Tostos,

Air Canada has a format in which they merge FirstnameMiddlename together. There are no issues with that. I have been a frequent traveller with Air Canada it has always been like that.

Good luck

For most Chinese there are two words in their first name. It's very common to see the words in the first name got merged.

My given name has parts I.e. Vijay bala and surname LNU, but on ticket it is reflected as vijaybala Lnu I.e. without space. Does it make any problem
