Already here Since 2007
I recently got my PPR and i have been living in Canada as a Federal skilled worker.
My question is, that instead of doing flagpoling on the US- Canada border, can i goto my home country( india)and come back and do my landing process or do i have to do the flagpoling since i already live in Canada.

Please advise.

Thanks

Yes - you can go to India and then land and become a PR when you return to Canada.

If you live in Canada and in Ontario, you don't need to enter US to do flagpoling. You can land without leaving Canada at Fort Erie immigration office.

I wanted to do flagpoling for my baby who got his PPR 2 days before, me and my wife are already PR and we all stay in Canada at present, so I was wondering how is it possible to do flagpole without getting into US?

they're drop in.

just go there with passport/COPR and get it done. If they send you to US side, go there, ask for administrative refusal, tell em u need to do your landing, and you get that and come back to Canadian side and land as a PR.

Going to india and coming back is silly when you're already here. Why not save that money and visit later when you already get PR Card.

It's easy process, get it done ASAP

Either do it at Fort Erie, or Niagara Falls (rainbow bridge).

I was thinking Fort Erie immigration office is something like Ottawa CIC office where one can complete landing formalities. But looks like you guys are referring to the Fort Erie/Buffalo border.
