Hi,
So I'm trying to get my PGWP as soon as possible and therefore I'm willing to drive to the border. I have all the documentation and fulfil all the requirements. However, I'm worried about one thing. I don't know if once I begin the process to change my status, my study permit document will be taken. I need to know this because even if I have a multiple entry visa (student/type: S1) stamp on my passport I don't know if it will keep being valid even if the study permit form is taken away. So my question is... Do the officers take the study permit form from you when you do the process? and if this happens, are you still valid to re-entry to Canada with your student visa as long it is not expired?
People from my country cannot obtain eTA, so If my status is taken I cannot reentry to Canada.
Thanks for your help.
