First time LMO filing

Dear All,

me and my employer are trying to apply for LMO application and on the checklist is says:

Canada Revenue Agency – T2Schedule 100 Balance Sheet Information (for
corporations only – 2 most recent returns filed)
T2 Schedule 125 Income Statement Information (for
corporations only – 2 most recent returns filed)
Applications for other positions - only required if this is the employer’s first LMO
application.

My employers business as pretty new (Feb 2014) and he does not have the T2, what should we do?

I didn't think it was possible to file an LMO without at least one T2 return since the T2 return allows CIC to substantiate it's a real company with real operations. However I may very well be wrong. Hopefully someone else will be able to help - good luck.

Hello Scylla and thanks for your reply. I called Service Canada and that said they need T2 to make sure the job offer is genuine, if you don't have it try to get as much proof as you can. However, my accountant says that the company cannot apply for LMO if it does not have T2 and have not payroll for 2 years

So you think confirm my accountant is right don't you?
