While creating Express Entry profile, it's asking for first and last names (both are mandatory) exactly as mentioned in passport; in my passport, there's only Given Name while Surname is blank. What do i do?

First name can be blank. Give your name in last name field. I have done the same for my spouse
And leave the first name blank? Did i mention earlier that BOTH are mandatory?
Both are mandatory, if you leave one blank, the profile won't move to the next page
Give the same name in both field. PRE-ITA thus is what I did for my spouse name. After ITA, when I was updating the details, I was able to leave the first name blank. It worked.

It will be better if you get your name split into first and last names on your passport. These things can create lot of hassles during the application as well as later when you actually move to Canada in getting SIN, DL, bank account etc.
I also have similar situation and submitted my EE profile putting all information in Given name section of passport (India) in Last Name and left First Name empty. How do I go about filling the name in the police clearance online form to FBI (needed as I currently work in the USA)? The FBI electronic form does not allow me to put a hypen (as I did in IELTS) or a space in the Last Name.

On this link it says http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=014&top=4 put the whole name in the Family name (sur name) space, but the form does not allow me to proceed when I do so. It says there is a problematic field in the First name and blocks me. Any one have a clue how to proceed.?

Has anyone been able to find an answer to this? For parents, the express entry does not let you proceed without Family and Given Name! @canuck78 @PMM @legalfalcon
In personal information section of PR application, if the relative (sibling) don't have a last name when we keep it blank it shows an error "Problematic field: last name(s) (required)" how to tackle this issue? please help
