Just out of curiosity: has any applicant who is part of the NEXUS program ever been asked to submit fingerprints?
I am asking because anyone who participates to the NEXUS program already provides fingerprints (and iris scan) to CBSA, therefore, in theory, there should be no need to request their fingerprints during the citizenship application process.
However interdepartmental communication is probably not a big strength of governmental entities, therefore it would be hardly surprising if they were requesting for something apparently redundant.
