Hello Everyone,

I know this question may have asked multiple times here in the past but I couldn't find proper thread for it.

I'm going to India for 6 weeks, on website it says we should let cic if we leave canada for more than 2 weeks.
I just got my AOR last week(20 Nov) and I'll be leaving for India next week (6Dec).

Is there any way to get rcmp fingerprints done from India?
Do I have to let cic know I'm going out for that much time?
What will be the effect of this on my application, will it be delayed?

Any kind of help is much appreciated!

Honestly the AoR to IP time frame is generally 25-50 days (average - 2019 sheet shows a 77 day average with last ones sent from Sept) so I doubt you'll even go IP until Christmas and you won't get an FP request until that happens if ever. Plus, if you get one you have 30 days. Or can contact them about being out and ask for an extension.

I mean anything is possible, but I'd not worry about it at this relatively early stage of your application (I went away for just over two weeks a week after submitting my application, couldn't contact them as didn't have my AoR!).

You can submit a web form to let them know, but given the time of year and stage of application I'm not sure it's worthwhile.
