fingerprints in application

My application has already been sent in to sponsor my spouse to come to canada as PR. We sent in the FBI background check with the application. However, we forgot to include fingerprints - the FBI never did give us copies of them but only used them for the background check itself.

Should we be requesting the prints from FBI as well?
Will the application be sent back to us rejected? or would the office instead just call us and ask for them?

You don't need to send fingerprints to CIC with your application.

You only needed the fingerprints to mail to the FBI, so that they could do your criminal background check. The letter that you receive from the FBI (the report) is all that you need to send to CIC.
