Her husaband now got letter saying her should do fingerprinting in canada. Will his wife get a letter in her home country to do fingerprint as well. or will they process the husband first..?

ssanndy,

Fingerprinting is applicable for some countries, such as the FBI in USA, in order to recieve police clearance certificates.

Even though your friend's husband is the primary applicant, all his depandants above age of 18 should submit police clearances for all countries that his dependants have lived since age of 18 years, for more than 6 months. This would include his wife (your friend) and children if above 18 years.

Based on the countries your friend has stayed for more than 6 months, she will need to contact the police authorities in those countries to get the police clearance certificates. The details to contact the police authorities for any country in the world is available on the CIC website www.cic.gc.ca on the bottom right side.

Hope my answer helps.

All the best !
