Finger printing

Hi ,

we have got an email from CIC stating that my application is being recommended to Buffalo, NY visa office.

This query is regarding Finger printing:

Q 1) Does only the Principal applicant should get the Finger printing done or All the family members in the application?

Q 2) What do you suggest a) getting finger prints done by
* a local police department or
* a private fingerprinting business.

I have less than 120 days now, Any responses would be Highly appreciated .

Do you mean police certificate? then everyone older than 18 yo

All of them in the application above 18 years need to get police clearance.. you can get it done through govt agency.. pretty cheap.. I did it for $10 per card..

Hi , I meant POLICE CERTIFICATES AND CLEARANCES

I have two kids
elder one is less than 2 years & younger is one week old I was just curios to know of they need to give POLICE CERTIFICATES AND CLEARANCES? as the guide nor website cleary states if the children below 18 years does not need to provide POLICE CERTIFICATES AND CLEARANCES.

no they dont have to.

www.cic.gc.ca has it that it is for all those 18 year and older.

u can go and get it private u can find one or u can download the fingerprint card from here

Mail the cover letter print from here -- http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cjisd/cover_letter.pdf, Fingerprint Card, and Payment to the following address:

FBI CJIS Division – Record Request
1000 Custer Hollow Road
Clarksburg, West Virginia 26306

Looks like it will take Approximately 3-4 weeks or more for processing
