Finding a job in canada on Open work permit if I have more than 5 years of IT experience in Europe!!

Hi there,

I heard many rumors that it is indeed hard enough to find a job in Canada if you are on Open work permit.

I think there are two main reasons behind of as..

1.Mostly jobs are available for PR holder because Canadian companies want to hire someone who has permanent status in Canada.
2.Canadian companies prefer to hire those who have done either Canadian studies or holding Canadian exp.


What do you think guys?

Others can comment but both to some extent are probably true. Also could add preference given to someone physically in Canada so immediately available and someone with skills not readily available or unique. All these can be overcome just a matter of extensive networking and a lot of luck to be in the right place at right time.
