Hi, I'm a Lead/Senior .NET Developer/Architect with 15+ years experience in IT. Out of which, 10 years I worked as a consultant in US with various clients. Now I want to know, how easy or difficult is it to find a job in Canada (any city)? Has anyone was able to get a job from US without landing in Canada lately?. I have around 390 CRS (40 age no more IELTS points possible) which won't fetch me any invite. Only hope is to find a job with LMIA so that it gives me 50 points which might be helpful to get invite.

I'm willing to leave the US and come to Canada on work permit if I get it. But not sure what's the best approach to find a job.

The jobbank site of Canada seems pretty useless. It just displays jobs from other sites. I don't see any recruiter sending any requirements through that site to potential candidates in the pool.
Any info is appreciated. Thanks !

You need an approved LMIA to get job offer points under EE. Generally speaking, it's extremely difficult to find employers willing to go through the LMIA process.

Is there any site one can look for companies that have applied for LMIA? There must be some way to get work permit.

No - there's no such web site.

If you want to find a job in Canada, you'll need to apply for jobs through regular job sites like linkedin and indeed - and hope you get lucky and find an employer willing to go through the LMIA process.

Try PNP. There was a week or two when Ontario invited folks as low as 323 to apply.

Probably because of how difficult it is to convert a US work permit to a green card.
