Hey guys
Have any of you managed to find a company willing to employ you under the FSWP (Federal Skilled Workers Program)? Are there any specific recruitment agencies/websites/employers seeking employees and willing to sponsor? From what I've seen, it would be a major pain in the butt for any company wanting to sponsor, as they would need to obtain a LMO AND pay $1000...(ouch!)...are there really companies willing to do that?
I would like to settle in BC, Canada with my Canadian girlfriend. We could apply under the "Family Class Sponsorship" but that would take a loooooong time! It would also mean that I can't work during that time and we'd be dependent on her modest salary only. The best way would be for me to find a company willing to employ me through the FSWP program, but I just don't see how any company would be willing to do that with all the hassle. Have any of you had any success? I would appreciate any tips
PS: I'm an industrial electrician with more than 10 years working experience, just in case you were wondering...
