Hello everyone,

My spouse is planning to apply for the TRV soon. I have few concerns about the financial documents she need to submit. Just wondering, how she supposed to show those papers? She is not working right now.

Currently, I am working in Canada on full time basis. She will include a letter from my employer stating my annual salary and my bank document from Canada. I will pay her all expense during her visit in Canada. So, is that okay if she just my papers or does she need to show any document from her parental side.

Thanks in advance.

One of the things you can do is submit your spouse's bank statement to the visa office.

But as she is not working right now, she does carry high balance in her account. Is that okay, if she carry low balance in her account? Because it's obvious I will pay her all expense during her visit here.

It does matter. The visa officer also wants to know the financial status of the applicant. My mother in law provide this in her application and was approved. She's retired and not working. In our invitation letter, we also indicated that we would support her (which is a must in every invitation letter).
