Hello friends,

I hope this post is relevant in this group.

I am a PR holder in Canada and wants to apply supervisa for my father.

I am self employed in BC and withdraw dividend instead of salary.

What can I show as a proof of means of financial support in my father's supervisa application? I am yet to file my first corporate taxes and was salaried employee until last year.

Thanks and appreciate your help!

Financial support (proof of funds)
The child or grandchild who invites you must prove that their household meets the minimum necessary income. The following documents are examples of what can be used as proof of funds:
  • Notice of Assessment (NOA) or T4/T1 for the most recent tax year
  • Employment Insurance stubs
  • employment letter including salary and date of hiring
  • pay stubs
  • bank statements

The issue is LICO and PGP is determined by your personal income. Many self-employed people only pay themselves the minimum amount they need which comes back to hurt you for supervisa and PGP. You can try to get around it but if you are thinking you may eventually try and apply for PGP youmay hVe to reassess your personal income.
