financial requirment for sponsor

CIC need $49102( 5 family members) last 12 months income to sponsor my new born baby in motherland.but we just landed and not having job in canada.in my motherland account only $15000 available.
1. is it enohgh for the sponsor my baby?
2. with this amount , will my application be rejected?

Hi,

Where did you find this amount.$49102 .cic will not reject any application for spouse and children even if sponsor is not earning at that time This was told by one of the agents to me. But you have to mention them
about your unemployment and attach copy of bank statement back home to satisfy them.

Someone gave you a wrong advice or you are not looking where you should be looking. I'm telling you again: there is no minimum income required for Family Class Immigration.

You need to prove that you are, where not and will not go on welfare.
You need to show bank statements about your savings, write a letter about how you plan to find a job for you and your wife, what support system you have etc.
