I'm hoping that some seniors can help me understand how much $$ i need to have in order to sponsor my husband. From my NOA (2014) last year I made $50,000. However this year I went back to school for finish up a degree so my NOA come tax time next year will be around $20,000 because I didn't work while in school. Now that I'm done school I've got a very good permanent full time job that pays $80,000 per year. Do I need to have a certain amount saved up in my bank account before I can sponsor him or will the fact that I'm making more that enough for two people be enough?
Thanks

There are no specific financial requirements other than the negative one that a sponsor must not be in receipt of public welfare assistance. What CIC will be looking for is that you have sufficient means to support yourselves without becoming a burden on the state: somewhere to live, some means of supporting yourselves either from your own resources (such as savings, skills which will enable you to find a job, or as in your case an actual job) or from the resources of others (such as promises by relatives to support you until you get on your feet etc). In other words you will need to set out a viable financial plan for the future. Showing that you have a sufficient income to support both you and your husband and a place for both of you to live would be good.

you are making enough for you and your spouse. you can send a photocopy of your pay stub as a proof of your income and maybe a letter from your work stating your job title, salary etc.
