I, as an international student, am applying for a TRV for my mother to come visit me for 6 weeks. Now, my mother is a housewife but she does have saving bank accounts on her OWN name with funds in them. Also, she has a joint account with my father (who is working in US) where he remits the money back home.

So I am wondering what financial proof I should show from these below:

a) Mother's saving bank a/c balances and FDs
b) Joint remittance Indian bank a/c of mother and father
c) Father's US bank a/c statement in US
d) Father's US income tax returns
e) My Canadian bank a/c statement

I think a) is enough but I'm not sure... Please help.. thanks :)

Why is father's stuff required? Besides, we don't have enough time for father's documents to be mailed.

well since your mother is a housewife, your father's statements will show that the family has a regular income not just money at the bank.

But the remittance a/c would show that anyway.

If your schedule is tight. Just send a printout of your father's e-bank statements.
When I applied from the US this year. I included print outs of my overseas accounts.

What about his tax returns? Do you think that's necessary? Thanks.

Also, I think that showing father's stuff will trigger unnecessary attention to the US angle here.
