There is processing delay times. As explained before your best option is to find employment. Welfare provides minimal support payments especially for adults without children and you must prove that you are actively seeking employment. Given the current government expect that there will be a huge push for you to get off welfare and into work. Given the low unemployment rate finding employment should not be that difficult.
