Hi there,
For all of you who have dealt with Pretoria I need some guidance. We received a phone call last week from Pretoria that they needed one small piece of work history on my husband from 1997 and that I could go ahead and pay the Right to Permament Residence Fee. We did that and they phoned this week Monday to say the recieved the payment and didn't need anything further at this time, they were just finalizing some "checks".\
Here is my dilemna.....I stood on faith months ago believing this would be processed by now and booked our tickets to leave Zambia this Sunday, August 1. We have 2 days in South Africa and are scheduled to leave on Tuesday night, August 3 for Canada. The lady at Immigration advised me to change my husbands ticket as she figured it would still take a few weeks. However, I'm devasted at the thought of going home alone and I thought before I go and change our tickets all around.....do you think it would help if we go to the Pretoria office in person to help push things along, after all....we have the tickets to SA and we have 2 days.
Worst case scenario is that my husband has to fly back to Zambia and I carry on to Canada.....do you think this would tick them off in Pretoria to followup in person?
