Hey all, I finally got my letter saying my open work permit has been approved. Because I am currently in Canada, I am planning a trip outside and back into the Canadian border for my permit, but would like some thoughts on a few things.
I currently have travel insurance until March 2014, I know I have to get insurance to cover the length of my stay, but should I look for anything other than medical cover? or as long as im covered will that be enough?
I will be flying into Edmonton international airport, do the border security there handle open work permits? And if so is it 24/7 or a specific time i need to arrive?
I know 2500 CAD is the minimum to have, but should I try and get more? will it make it any easier in the process?
Is there anything else, other than my Passport, ALL documents from CIC, Insurance, I should bring with me to the border? If there is an online checklist a link would be greatly appriciated!
Thank you for any help at all!
