FILLING UP CIT0407E (RESIDENCE CALCULATOR)

ANYBODY WHO HAS FILLED UP THIS CIT0407E FORM IS REQUESTED TO KINDLY HELP. The section1 A and B field are not date formatted like other CIC document. So should I fill this field like a number say I want to write 2010-04-10, It comes up with 20100410? Is that OK or my form (downloaded from CIC site) is faulty?
